PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY:
For this category, we are looking for the sites that have provided authors the most success when trying to reach readers and generate sales. These sites may or may not have an email subscription list, and may or may not charge a fee, but still manage to provide access directly to a large number of readers. These sites are the ones writers rely upon when they need to make sales.
In thinking about which sites to nominate, we suggest you consider such factors as ease of applying for promotion dates, return on investment, and responsiveness of administration.
The staff of Indies Unlimited who own, manage, or administer other websites, are eligible for nomination, provided those sites meet the category criteria.
Nominations will remain open until 5 PM US Pacific Time on January 31, 2015. Comments will be closed at that time and no further nominations will be accepted.
The 10 sites in each category that receive the most nominations by the time the nomination phase has closed will be deemed the finalists in the category, pending verification by Indies Unlimited administration. Voting to determine the winner for each category will commence at 9 AM US Pacific Time on February 6, 2015.
Use the comment section below to make your nominations.
Nominate as many sites as you like, but nominate each site only once. Make sure you let your nominees know!
Your nomination must include:
- The name of the site;
- A link to the site; and,
- One sentence explaining why you feel the site is worthy of being named Best Writers’ Promotion Site of 2014.
Nominations that do not include all three elements described directly above will be eliminated by the administrators. Do not place anything in the comment field other than the specified nomination information. Extraneous comments will be removed. If you nominate your own site, the entry will be removed. If you have a question or concern regarding the process, please use the contact form.

I’m nominating them because they seem to be the Cadillac of book promotion sites, and because if I say nice things about them, maybe they’ll accept me the next time I write them for ad space. 😀
BookGoodies

One of the few sites that has figured out how to advertise KDP Countdown deals.
Kindle Books & Tips

I love these guys. You don’t have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get an ad on this site, and I’ve always made money after advertising there.
eBookLister.net

That site worked very well for me – my first book, zero reviews, and there was no charge to advertise my freebie.
Digital Book Today

Excellent promotional site for the author because Anthony Wessel has a real handle on the book publishing industry, having been involved in it for years.

I agree with Paul Rega that People Reads is a well organized site with both free and paid options that get results!
I would like to nominate http://PeopleReads.com – I have utilized both Free and Paid services, and I consistently benefit with increased sales.

I have used this site twice now, well organised and effective.
For me the best site is: http://www.peoplereads.com/
It offers both FREE and PAID options. The owner/organizer always replies to your emails and is very polite and professional.

Great promotional website and a good service.

The Choosy Bookworm

Super-friendly and affordable.

My book (not romance, not mystery, not thriller) hit #84 on Amazon. Make some really nice money off it.
For me, Choosy Bookworm and The Fussy Librarian stand out from the crowd. They are easy to deal with, responsive to change requests (they happen), and low-cost with a large following of readers (not just authors).
