EarlyworksEarlyworks Press is now accepting submissions up to 100 words for its very short 2012 Flash Fiction Competition. The best entries will be published, and their authors will receive one complimentary copy of the anthology. 10-20 will be included, depending on length and quality. The entry fee is £3.50 per story, or £12 for up to 6 entries. The closing date is August 31st 2012.

2012 Unbound Press Nonfiction Award

2012 Unbound Press Nonfiction AwardUnbound Press is now accepting entries for its 2012 nonfiction awards. This year the Nonfiction Award is wide-open to all styles. They will welcome everything from creative nonfiction (a style which uses literary techniques to create factually accurate narratives) to journalism to biographies to travel writing to technical writing to articles to essays and letters up to 2200 words.

The entry fee (per entry) is £5 or €8 or $10. The closing date for entries is August 31, 2012.

Week 13 Flash Fiction Contest Winner: JD Mader

Today we’re pleased to announce the winner of the 13th weekly Flash Fiction competition at Indies Unlimited.
