Finally, the moment has arrived: we will now announce the Editors’ Choice winners for the IU Flash Fiction challenges from October and November 2016.
As you know, each week, the public gets to choose the Readers’ Choice winning entry by popular vote and the author is rewarded with a special feature on Saturdays. In the case of the Editors’ Choice winners, they garner a coveted spot in the first ever Indies Unlimited Flash Fiction Editors’ Choice Anthology. You don’t remember any of this? Well, you can refresh your memory by reading our rules.) Without further ado, here are the winning authors:

Yes, you’re right, there are some weeks missing. No winners were chosen for those weeks. The editors want really top-notch stuff for the anthologies, so don’t forget to proofread and polish your entry, and make sure it is an actual story and not just a scene that is a continuation of the prompt. Lynne Cantwell wrote some tips on how to write good flash fiction here.
Again, congratulations to the authors above. Give us your best stuff, people – we want to see your names up there next time.
Thank you for selecting one of my short stories as an Editor’s Choice in November, and Congratulations to everyone else who whose stories were also selected.
Keep up the good stories!
Ever since I discovered flash fiction, I have had trouble writing anything else. Love reading it, love writing it. It is a great source of pride to have two of my stories selected as Editors Choice. To all my fellow writers — I only know you through your stories, but that is enough. Congratulations, and keep on writing!
