Instagram Follow Fest

Is Instagram for Authors?Back in April, our Jim Devitt wrote a couple of posts about Instagram, and yesterday, we had a tutorial with some tips for those of you who are less tech savvy. Check those out, then come back here and have some fun with our very first ever Instagram Follow Fest.

This is how it works: If you are an author, publisher, publicist, literary agent, book reviewer, (or especially a book-lover), etc., in the comments below, paste in the link for your Instagram handle. Share the link to this post, so we can get others to do the same. Make sure you show some love to the handles in the comments above yours, and check back throughout the day to catch up. (Remember: If you right-click the link, you can open it in a new tab so you don’t have to constantly page back and forth.)

This should be fun and should generate a lot of follows for everyone who plays. We’ll kick things off with ours. Let’s get the party started! http://www.instagram.com/AuthorKSBrooks. (handle = @AuthorKSBrooks) Take the handle and put it into your phone, then click follow.

PLEASE be sure to reciprocate by following those who follow you. This is give and take. If everyone plays by the golden rule, we all benefit.

June Video Trailer View-fest

YouTube_FINALRecently, our RJ Crayton schooled us on how to make a video trailer for free using YouTube’s video editor. Check that out, then come back here and post a link to ONE of your video trailers below so we can show it some love!

This is how it works: If you are an author, in the comments below, paste in the link for your YouTube book trailer video. (ONE trailer per person, please!) Make sure you show some love to the links in the comments above yours, and check back throughout the day to catch up.

This should be fun and should generate a lot of likes, follows, etc. for everyone who plays. I’ll kick things off with ours: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxpeL2u7FIk. (Okay, so that’s not a book trailer, but it’s pretty cool anyway!) Now let’s get the party started!

Don’t sweat it if your trailer embeds. We’ll fix it.

PLEASE be sure to reciprocate by liking those who like you. This is give and take. If everyone plays by the golden rule, we all benefit.

In the comments below, paste in the link for your Pinterest Page. Make sure you show some love to the links in the comments above yours, and check back throughout the day to catch up.

If you’re not sure what link to post, just find your profile or bulletin board, then copy and paste the URL. It should look something like this: http://pinterest.com/IndiesUnlimited/

This should be fun and should generate a lot of exposure for everyone who plays. Don’t forget to follow ours. Let’s get things moving!

PLEASE be sure to reciprocate by liking those who like you. This is give and take. If everyone plays by the golden rule, we all benefit.
