Valhalla Press is still open for entries in the Valhalla Press Flash Fiction and Flash Memoir Contest.

They are looking for original short fiction and short memoir written in English.

Prizes:  First prize: $500, an e-reader, and publication in their online journal, Ragnarok. Second prize: an e-reader and publication.

2013 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award

The Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Contest will be accepting entries starting January 14, 2013.

Categories include: General Fiction, Romance, Mystery/Thriller, Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror and Young Adult Fiction.

Prizes:  Publishing contract with an advance of $50,000 for grand-prize winner. Five first-prize winners will receive publishing contract with an advance of $15,000.
