Recently, our Martin Crosbie told us about some amazing success stories on Wattpad. Hopefully you’ve had a chance to check Wattpad out and get some good stuff up there for the world to see. If not, hurry up and dust it off! Now you’re ready for our Wattpad Follow Fest.
This is how it works: If you are an author, publisher, publicist, literary agent, book reviewer, librarian (or especially a book-lover), etc., in the comments below, paste in the link for your Wattpad profile. Make sure you show some love to the profiles in the comments above yours, and check back throughout the day to catch up. To get your url, merely go to your profile and copy the link next to the BIG pink arrow at the top of the picture above (i.e. – http://www.wattpad.com/user/KSBrooks).
Click on the person’s link in the comments section below, and you will go to their profile. Then click Follow. (See photo above.)
This should be fun and should generate a lot of exposure for everyone who plays. Let’s get the party started! Don’t forget, if you right click and open into a new window, you won’t have to click back constantly. Now go have fun!

I now have 16 books, or partials, up on my Wattpad profile.
For those who have visited, you’ll note that I took some down. Didn’t want to be in violation of my KDP agreement.
Here I am: https://www.wattpad.com/user/YvonneHertzberger
What if you’re signed up on KDP Select, which gives Amazon exclusivity to a book for 90 days? Would Amazon consider it a conflict if you start posting chapters on Wattpad? Because – as I understand it – once you start posting chapters on Wattpad, you should keep on posting until your whole book has been posted.
Remi, I don’t have the contract memorized, but I believe KDP Select stipulates that you are allowed to post up to 1000 word excerpts of your book as long as you include a purchase link to the Amazon site. So, no, you couldn’t post your entire book to Wattpad, but you could post a sample. And short stories or flash fiction. You’re not just limited to posting your book.

Wattpad does not require anyone to post their entire work, although your readers may wish you too 😀 . Your can post a few excerpts and then your amazon link to where they can purchase the entire story.
I just got set up on Wattpad after reading the recent article here on IU. Looking forward to adding followers and making new friends.

I have left my account dormant for too long – I will be uploading the early chapters of my noir WIP after the summer vacation
Here is where I live at WattPad. Show some love!!
Walter, you forgot to put a link.
It only allows a max of 2,000 characters.
You can load in parts
It’s actually best to load a chapter at a time, and I’ve loaded chapter with more than 2,000 words with no problem.
I have my YA sci-fi ebook up on Wattpad if anyone would like to check it out. Installments are put up every Friday, and there’s currently 57 parts and I’m not done yet.
