Steven Greenberg Announces the Release of His New Book: Enfold Me

Enfold Me CoverAuthor Steven Greenberg has just released his new dystopian suspense novel, Enfold Me. It became available on May 28, 2012 and can be purchased through Amazon.com and may be loaned through the Prime program.

Written by an Israeli, Enfold Me is a dark journey into a chillingly-realistic post-Israel Middle East.

Precipitated by a massive earthquake and an Iranian-led attack, the fall of Israel rips Daniel Blum from his suburban life and scientific career. Alone and scarred, he endures subjugation and terror in Hamas-controlled Northern Liberated Palestine.

Now, Daniel must follow George Farrah, a figure from his past, deep under the Carmel mountain and through Egyptian-controlled, quake-ravaged Tel Aviv. Haunted by tragedy, Daniel strains the bonds of duty and family as he and George uncover a secret that could alter the region’s balance of power.

Dr. Ezra Marcus of the Recanati Institute of Maritime Studies at the University of Haifa says, “The key to this narrative’s success is its verisimilitude: it is too familiar, too realistic and much too uncomfortably believable. The result is engaging and tension-building story that grips you as it disturbs you.”

Congratulations to Yvonne Hertzberger

Congratulations to author Yvonne Hertzberger on a great review of her book, Back from Chaos.

Klast, loner, assassin and spy, has no idea that his destiny is linked to the maid he is sent to rescue. But even before he can fulfill it he must wrestle with his own demons, and help Lord Gaelen unmask a traitor. Failure will upset the Balance that Earth, goddess, needs to provide good harvests, health and peace.

Earth has shown Liethis, true seer, that unless Klast completes his missions, more catastrophes, like the Red Fever that ravages the population, will follow. Time is short.

Reviewer Cathy Speight says of the book, “A well-constituted cast of characters, a good mix of action and romance, and well written. Yvonne has certainly caused chaos in my preferential order of genres.” Read the whole review at Cath ‘n’ Kindle.

Back from Chaos is available from Amazon US and Amazon UK.

K.S. Brooks Interviewed by Cyrus Webb

Author K.S. Brooks

In case you missed it, yesterday our own K.S. “Kat” Brooks was interviewed by Cyrus Webb of Conversations LIVE! radio and Conversations Magazine.

It was a riveting half-hour interview in which she spills all the dirt and names names. There is a distinct possibility she said something about you. Or maybe not. I recommend you find out though.

Okay, I may have made that part up. Mostly, she talks about Mr. Pish. Kat is very above-board and professional. It’s Pish you have to worry about. He knows things.

Congrats to Kat on a great interview!

Here is the audio of the interview:

The indiePENdents.org Seal

Jasha Levi

A number of ideas are now floating about the obvious need for a new book-publishing business model, One of them directly addresses both the cause of and the remedy to its problems: The indiePENdents.org

The glut of self-published works on the printed and digital markets is a direct result of the changes in technology. Any computer savvy individual can now publish a manuscript — unfortunately, regardless of its worth. Often, such manuscripts have not been even touched by an editor’s hand. This makes it hard for readers to distinguish the wheat from the chaff. It also makes bookstores and libraries reluctant to carry works which have not been vetted by the traditional industry gatekeepers.

The imbalance between the number of existing mainstream “gatekeepers” and the number of authors seeking to publish their work has already resulted in a flood of titles not vetted by any standard. This harms the reputation of all indie-published books. Continue reading “The indiePENdents.org Seal”
