Book Blogger Spotlight: Me, Bookshelf and I

Meet Melissa (A.K.A., Miss Melvis). She’s the force behind the book blog, Me, Bookshelf and I.

“I’ve been a book lover for as long as I can remember and developed a love for all things chick lit in my late teens,” she says. “My friend suggested blogging at the beginning of 2013. We set up a joint venture for a short while but we were heading in different directions with our writing/subject matter, so I decided to set up Me, Bookshelf and I. I love reviewing books and I love writing, my blog is the perfect place for me to do both.”

Book Blogger Spotlight: Random Reviews by Leanne

Leanne Herrera is the blogger behind Random Reviews by Leanne. She is a mother, wife, grandmother, artist and author. Leanne is also an author, currently working on her second book and reworking her first one. She also reviews and beta reads when she can. She says she is a fast reader and generally can go through several books in a day.

Leanne says she always loved reading. “The need to discuss books has always been overpowering to the point that I often nag friends and family to read the books so that we could discuss them. When I started my blog, I wrote about my life and the book I was working on. Then someone asked me to review a book and I realized that I could talk about books and help authors at the same time. Book Blogger Spotlight: BestChickLit.Com

Charlotte Foreman runs the fabulous book blog BestChickLit.com. She first began reading actual novels at around age 11 after a series of children’s books based on urban legends was published, although they’d now probably be classed as YA. Charlotte says, “They became the latest fad at my middle school and anyone who was anyone was reading them – they scared the pants off me, to be honest, but I slowly waded my way through them. Book Blogger Spotlight: The Magnolia Blossom Review

L. Avery BrownL. Avery Brown has an awesome book blog called The Magnolia Blossom Review. She is a former secondary level educator with over a dozen years devoted to the fields of history, special education, and curriculum development. Since 2007 she’s been a devoted writer, something she’s loved to do for as long as she can remember.

She says, “Professionally speaking, when I’m not busy working on my own writing projects, I am a freelance editor, publishing consultant, and digital media promotions consultant. I also pride myself on being a solid reviewer of books! I am about as Southern as Southern can get which is why I started my first blog, When a Southern Woman Rambles. That blog actually helped me set the back drop for a series of books with the same name.”
