Facebook’s Call to Action Button

facebook logoPerhaps in an effort to convince small businesses that Facebook fan pages aren’t useless unless they buy an ad (whoops – did I say that with my outside voice?), Facebook has instituted a new feature: a Call to Action button.

In marketing-speak, a call to action is the question or suggestion that gets you to do what the salesperson wants you to do: fill out a survey, sign up for a mailing list, buy a product, and so on. Facebook Holiday Fest!

Facebook Holiday FestThe holidays are now upon us. How about spreading some holiday cheer by showing some love to our Facebook pages?

This is how it works: If you are a person with a Facebook page you’re welcome to join in. This is not limited to being an author, publisher, publicist, literary agent, book reviewer, librarian, (but if you’re a book-lover – that’s awesome!), etc., in the comments below, paste in the link for your Facebook Page. Make sure you show some love to the links in the comments above yours, and check back throughout the day to catch up. (“Likes” from other PAGES do not count. Only “likes” from personal accounts register.)
