Indies Unlimited adds Chris James to the Lineup

Author Chris James

I’m very pleased to announce that Chris James is joining the staff of Indies Unlimited as a contributor. Chris has an erudite writing style and a sharp dry British wit. Those qualities in combination with a full head of hair are bound to make him a standout here at Indies Unlimited.

He is 6′ 4″ tall and is left-handed, which is more problematic than it sounds, as all our uniforms are right handed.

Though originally from The U.K., Chris now lives in Warsaw, Poland, with his wife and three children. He published his first novel in 2010, a futuristic court-room thriller called Class Action, and his second in 2011, called The Second Internet Café, Part 1: The Dimension Researcher, which takes the sub-genre of Alternative Realities to its logical conclusion. He is currently writing the second part of The Second Internet Café trilogy and, for light relief, likes to have a go at writing comedy.

Please give Chris James a warm welcome to the Indies Unlimited Army.*

*The Indies Unlimited Army is a lot like the KISS Army, except we are about writing rather than music and less than half of us wear makeup (as far as you know).

  1. Welcome, Chris! Don't worry about the uniform. I'm left handed also, and with some minor tweaks, you'll learn how to reach into the correct pockets…

  2. Indies Unlimited has such a wonderful list of contributing authors and you've just made it even better with bringing Mr. James on board. Looking forward to his British sense of humour and his insights into all things writing! I'm so chuffed that I can't think of anything sarcastic to say…!

  3. Dear All of you above,

THANK YOU for the welcome! I'm very happy to be a contributing author for Indies Unlimited as this means I get to write stuff here but don't have to pay the bills or anything.

It goes without saying that it is an honour and a privilege for my humble self to join the exulted ranks of outstanding literary talent that make up this website we've all come to know and love.*

*(Guys: the amounts we agreed in my numbered Swiss account by midnight, or this sentence gets deleted, 'kay?)

    1. Thank you, Melissa. I'm finishing my current WIP which is supposed to be a comedy, so everything is "set-up line + punchline = gag"; can't seem to switch off

      🙂

    1. Thanks David. Us lefties are better because we have to word harder because most people use the wrong hand for everything – helpful for developing a good work ethic

      🙂

        1. Yeah, I know what you mean. From the age of 12 I went over to a Stanley knife – easier than scissors and had the advantage of slicing anyone who lauged at me for being left-handed.

          🙂

  4. Welcome, Chris. And I'm so glad to see you still spell honour with a 'u'! (I'm from Canada and tend to spell words in the British way.) Looking forward to your contributions.

  5. Welcome Chris!

I vote IU gets one of those flat world maps so we can stick pins in everyo-… I mean in the map! To show how international we are;)

  6. Welcome aboard, Chris. Though I really don't like the fact that you have a full head of hair — it makes me look bald.

    1. Thanks Micheal. The hair thing is just my mid-life crisis, for which I must constantly remind my wife that she should be happy that's as far as my crisis is going.

But it won't last long: the kids will have all my hair grey in a few years!

    1. Thanks! I can well understand that an RAF station would give you ideas for a book like "Bondage" – I'm looking forward to that!

      🙂

  7. Welcome Chris!

As for me, six feet…not so much, full head of hair…it's not the 70's Al Yankovic hair I once had hahaha, and I am glad to meet another lefty! Great to meet you Chris!

  8. Thank you, Solitaire. Glad to see that "Vengeance of the Wolf" is doing well for you, and well done on having so many books out!
