Self Service…and More

We’re glad so many of you are finding Indies Unlimited through our self-service posts such as Freebie Friday, Thrifty Thursday, and Print Book Paradise. Did you know we offer so much more than that?

Each week we provide tutorials to help authors (and anyone with an online presence) become proficient with social media, web marketing, and other related tools and tips. Our incredible staff of seasoned authors writes about their publishing experiences, marketing techniques, writing knowledge, and more – “paying it forward” by sharing their lessons learned in this volatile and fairly confusing industry. We also feature some great guest posts from authors and industry folks with interesting perspectives on the challenges we all face.

But that’s not all! You can also have your work featured for free (once it’s through the vetting process) in Announcement, Sneak Peek, Book Brief, and Video Trailer features. All you need to do is use the contact form to submit your query – make sure to include a purchase link to your book – and we’ll let you know if your book is eligible. We’d appreciate it if you would take the time to read over the submissions guidelines and make certain that your book fits the parameters of the site. We do not accept all genres or subject matter. Participating in those features will get your book into the Indies Unlimited bookstore for one year.

Indies Unlimited is run by volunteers. Don’t sweat it if we don’t immediately get back to you concerning your query. We respond to them in the order in which they are received – and the queries which follow the rules get handled more quickly. If you confuse us or make us search for what you want in your query, well – it’s going to take longer.

So thanks again for supporting Indies Unlimited. We’re glad to have you here. Please tell your friends!

A Message to Our Subscribers

We are aware that a number of our subscribers have not been receiving the e-mail daily digests and notifications for which they subscribed. Support for the plug-in we have been using for this purpose has been discontinued. Finding another program that meets our requirements and works with our version of WordPress is difficult, but we are working on the problem. Please be sure that e-mail from indies-unlimited.com is added to your e-mail whitelist.

While this is going on, you may stop receiving notifications, receive extra notifications, or notice changes in the appearance or frequency of the notifications. We regret any inconvenience this causes. Thanks for your patience and for supporting Indies Unlimited.

We’d also like to especially thank Jon Gibbs-Smith. He is the husband of IU subscriber Mary Smith. Jon is a techie-type guy who has done a lot of legwork to help us narrow down the problem. We want Jon to know his efforts are greatly appreciated.
