Genre: Literary Fiction
Word count: 90,000

When Alan Graves wakes one morning in his Manhattan apartment to a cat stepping on his testicles, he assumes his day can only get better from there. It’s an incorrect assumption. A series of wrenching experiences, from losing his job to getting hit by a bus, throw Alan down the rabbit hole of life where he finds the only thing that can save him is true love.

Lost and Found is available from Amazon.com, Smashwords, and Amazon UK.

Mike, how did you come up with the title for your book? Does it have any special meaning?
The original title was The Schoolbus, The Grandmother, and The Pretty Little Terrorist, which I prefer as a title but it became inaccurate after revisions. After a brief period as Phantom Pain, I settled on Lost and Found as a suitable and interesting title.

Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite character is the protagonist, Alan Graves, because I feel sympathy for his struggle against the obstacles I put in his path. I root for him.

Does your book have any underlying theme, message, or moral?
It’s an old one and corny too, but it still works for me: Love Conquers All.

What would/could a reader or reviewer say about this book that shows they “get” you as an author?
One of the tricky things about this story for me is that I consider it mainly a comedy. Any reader of reviewer who laughs when the read it gets me.

Give us an excerpted quote from your favorite review of this book:
“…a smart and unpredictable tale… A fast, easy and smart read.”
