  1. Let Me Sleep (Tick’s Song)

    Wake me in the spring,
When grasses green and bluebirds sing.
    Let me sleep away
    This cold, gray winters day.
    Please let me sleep.
I’ve no appointments I must keep.
Just wake me in the spring,
When the sun has heat to bring

  2. THOUGHTS

    Thoughts roll through
    Thundering like a freight train.
    I grab hold,
    Expecting to enjoy the ride.
    Pulled off both my arms.
Still I did not let go

  3. Short but full, I understand this piece quite well. It reminds me of my thoughts exactly. I tend think a whole lot more than I should at times. And even when I let go of old ideas, I believe it’s my controlling nature that holds on to something just in case and for a reminder. : ) Thanks, D L.
