There is more to the back pain epidemic than you think…

Are you considering drugs, procedures, or even major surgery for your back pain? If you value your future back health, don’t do anything until you have read this book. Author Gillian Hubble exposes secrets that have been buried in the medical literature for decades.

For the first time, get an evidence-based look at back pain causes and the effectiveness of 21 of the most popular conventional and alternative back pain treatments. What works? What doesn’t? Told from the perspective of a back pain survivor and healthcare professional, The Back Pain Conspiracy unearths the startling facts behind the mythology, so you can understand your pain and how to lose it.

You Will Learn:

• Why you have back pain, and why it won’t go away

• How to identify back pain myths and misconceptions

• What the most—and least—effective back pain treatments are

• When to pursue which types of treatment

• Where to look for long-term back pain relief

This book is available from Amazon, Smashwords, and Barnes & Noble.

Gillian, how did you come up with the title for your book? Does it have any special meaning?
The more I dug into the back pain evidence, the more conventional back pain wisdom and treatment seemed to fit the conspiracy mold. I am a healthcare consultant, and I had no idea about most of the back pain facts I was digging up within this $91 billion industry.

What was the hardest part of this book to write/research?
It was incredibly hard for me to get out of my own way on what I thought caused back pain and what would effectively treat it. What I “knew” was so ingrained. Writing the book empowered me to change my thinking and find my own back pain escape hatch.

Does your book have any underlying theme, message, or moral?
First, there’s no reason to be scared (and I broke my back!). Second, if we want to get rid of our back pain, we need to get beyond what we think we know about it and both view and treat back pain differently. Those aren’t easy things to do.

What would/could a reader or reviewer say about this book that shows they “get” you as an author?
I am biting the hand of an industry that feeds me to get this message out. So if the book helps someone to finally get beyond back pain mythology, try something new, and lose their back pain, I will be thrilled.

Give us an excerpted quote from your favorite review of this book:
“Ms Hubble has an amazing amount of scientific knowledge plus personal experience which makes this the most in depth and powerful book…”

  1. I agree! It is hard to let go of what we all think we know about the causes, and cures, of back pain! But, if you read this, I assure you, it will change everything-including your back pain. I am now jogging after years of ‘babying’ my back. And, I have NO pain! Thank you Gillian!
