He wants to go it alone, but his cousin and his best friend’s sister, Jade insists on tagging along. Jade is off limits to him, but she insists on changing his mind. He hasn’t decided if loving her is worth the beating he’ll get from her brother in order to have her. Retrieving the treasure is his only choice. But in order to get it, Daniel must choose to either walk in his father’s footsteps or to re-invent himself into the one to save his world.
This title is available from Amazon US, Amazon UK, Smashwords, and Barnes and Noble.
How did you come up with the title for your book? Does it have any special meaning?
My oldest son had made a request. He wanted me to write a pirate tale. A futuristic pirate adventure and I didn’t want to use any title with the word Pirate in it, so my son suggested I name it, Bandits.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Daniel is my absolute favorite character in this book. He’s got a bit of an attitude, but is loyal, has a good heart and desires to protect his brother and his love interest, Jade.
Does your book have any underlying theme, message, or moral?
The underlying message is that no matter what road you have started in your life, you and only you have the ability to change direction.
What would/could a reader or reviewer say about your writing that shows they “get” you as an author?
They would say they could see the growth in Daniel even though initially, they may not have liked him.
Give us an excerpted quote from your favorite review of this book:
Bandits is an appealing and imaginative take on a futuristic pirate story, complete with thrilling a treasure hunt, fantastic creatures and technology, and even a bit of romance.
