Twitter Adds New Header Feature

Every week there are more and more changes in social media and this week was no exception. With all the sites letting you get more creative, Twitter stepped up to the plate this week to let you add a header that becomes a background for your profile. This change will allow you to swap photos in and out over time depending on your mood, or marketing campaign.

It’s really simple to set up. Open your Twitter account and go to the little gear up in the right-hand corner. Click and select “Settings” and “Design.”

Book Brief – Marilyn Monroe: My Little Secret

In 2001, author Tony Jerris met Jane Lawrence, who knew Marilyn Monroe very well. They became close friends and she told Tony her story. At 12, she started Marilyn’s fan club at Fox. By the time Jane was 16, their relationship had become physically intimate.

Marilyn referred to Jane as “my little secret,” hence the title of the book, Marilyn Monroe: My Little Secret. The book is a provocative, poignant, no-holds-barred account of the relationship between Jane and Marilyn, which Tony has written in Ms. Lawrence’s voice.

The Danahy Fiction Prize

The Danahy Fiction Prize is an award given annually for a previously unpublished work of short fiction, generally between 500 and 5000 words. Judging is by the editors of Tampa Review, and all entries are considered for publication.
